Here is some info about me: I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Cal State University, Fullerton with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I received my Masters of Arts degree in Sociology from Cal State Fullerton as well.

I have been teaching Sociology since 1995. In addition to Barstow Community College, I teach online courses both here at BCC and at Mt. San Antonio College. I also teach upper division Sociology courses at Cal State University San Bernardino.

I am a Christian, I have been married to a wonderful man for fifteen years, and I have four children. Charlie, age 19 (BCC graduate and current UC Merced student); Drina, age 15 (9^th grade); Joshua, age 13 (7th grade); and Samuel, age 10 (7th grade). My husband is self-employed and works out of our home where we also home school the three children still living at home.   My husband and I are also Beachbody Coaches--and we make a pretty good team:)

We have a few pets...3 dogs--a border collie mix, and a Rat Terrier/Australian Healer mix, and a Chihuahua-Dashund mix (Lacey, Lucky, and Max); plus 4 cats--Natasha, Tiger, Fluffy, and Smokey

My hobbies include: Taking lots of pictures, album-creating (AKA "scrapbooking" Creative Memories style http://www.mycmsite.com/sites/dawnhowey), reading (have a NOOK and love it!), fitness--Beachbody style (P90X, Insanity, etc) (http://beachbodycoach.com/cmmamma) and well, busy with a family of six:) so no time for hobbies.
