About the Instructor: Mr. Howard

My name is Reginald D. Howard and I am a full-time Physical Education Instructor for Barstow Community College. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from UC Riverside and a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University. I am in my third year of teaching and coaching at BCC. I currently teach Fitness Lab Classes, Intercollegiate Athletics and Sport Psychology. Prior to my arrival at BCC, I was an instructor and Associate Head Men's Basketball at Mt. San Jacinto College, Long Beach State, UC Riverside and CSU San Bernardino. I taught Weight Training, Pedagogy, and Basketball classes as an adjunct professor at these colleges and universities.

I am currently serving as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Barstow Community College for 3 years and have been in the coaching profession at the college level for 15 years. I played college basketball at UC Riverside form 1985-2000. My involvement in sports have allowed me to travel to 40 different states over my career.

I have been married for 17 years to my beautiful wife, Candace. We have two sons Ryan and Blake.
