I'm Dale T. Jensen, and I am your instructor for English 1B Online.  I've taught composition and literature in the Barstow schools for over 35 years.  I started teaching for Barstow College in 1978 as an adjunct instructor; in 1992 I joined the faculty full time. I've taught thousands of students from seventh grade through community college, from remedial English to advanced composition. I met my wife Carol in an undergraduate English class (Early American Literature) at Southern Utah University where we both received our bachelor degrees.  I also have a masters of arts in English from Utah State University.  We moved to Barstow in 1974; actually this was a move back to Barstow for Carol, who is a graduate of Barstow College. We have two wonderful children, a daughter, who teaches second grade, and a son who is a college student.
