Your Instructor is John L. Stacy

Mr. Stacy has been with the English Department of Barstow College since 1970. He holds Masters Degrees in English and Creative Writing from CSULB and the University of Southern California, as well as ABD doctoral status with the University of California Riverside. His publications include Twenty One Nets: California Stories and Poems CSLB, as well as articles on teaching and English. In addition he has appeared in several college dramatic productions of Shakespeare (shown above in the part of Sir Toby in Twelfth Night). He was one of the founders of the Online Program at Barstow College. Although he currently resides with his wife and large dog across the park from the CSULB main campus in Long Beach, he remains an active part of the Barstow College online program and the Desert Heritage Writing Contest.
He admires and rewards students who take creative approaches to assignments and who fully involve themselves in the material. He also enjoys corresponding with students who ask questions and have additional thoughts on the literature.
