Quiz Page Instructions
Welcome! After carefully reading your textbook
chapter (at least twice!) feel free to take the quiz associated with the
chapter, by clicking on the quiz buttons at the bottom of each lesson page. When
you finish please remember to email the answers to yourself by putting your
correct email address in where indicated.
(Note: all material taken from Ellenbaum and Chidester (2004) MANUAL. and based
upon the textbook HEIDER'S SEEING ANTHROPOLOGY (2004)).
Attention: at the bottom of each quiz the last answer will be for your one
sentence summary of the film clip ethnography that goes with each chapter. You
are supposed to watch one film per chapter. The video vhs or the cd film
collection is included with the purchase of your Heider textbook Seeing
Anthropology: Cultural Anthropology Through Film (2004). A schedule of the films
to be viewed is listed below. A typical one sentence summary would be similar to
this " the film was about the Nuer tribe of Western Africa, whose total
subsistence is devoted to the care of their cattle livestock; they eat their
meat, wear clothes, cook with the dung of the animal, and even drink a small
portion of their blood mixed with milk for religious ceremonial rites." {2 quiz
pts. per each film}. Please note that to get a correct quiz score you must
include the titles of the films as they are shown below in your answer.

A quiz value of 2 pts. will be assigned to each
quiz for a complete sentence describing the film. Please do not include comments
such as "I liked the film , it was cool" etc. I require you to include some
details about the movie in the one sentence summary! This is not a Siskel and
Roper film review. Just include "the facts" for complete quiz credit!
